A look through the keyhole of our lives – a brief look back at those days and the life we lead today here in Sweden.
Here, in this beautiful country, we have found our home. Our heart and soul have found their home here. Grateful and fulfilled, we breathe deeply, feeling our head, heart, and soul unite. Peace of mind – for us, this word is no longer just a meaningful term, but a tangible, profound experience that lives within us and accompanies us every day.
How it all started
We've been married since 2005. Our first honeymoon took us to Sweden—canoeing on the clear lakes and camping under the starry sky—and the thought of living abroad was on our minds. In 2016, part of this dream came true with the purchase of a summer house in Sweden. Our desire to start a family of our own was fulfilled in 2017 with the adoption of our children. In 2022, we decided to emigrate to Sweden with our family in 2024. This step wasn't always straightforward.
As a Guest on Earth
There were many detours, but we held fast to our dreams and our heartfelt visions. We trusted that there was a path, even if it turned out differently than originally planned. It turned out to be true: Life and the pursuit of one's own goals are worth it. Together we shape our lives – formerly as pediatric nurses and engineers, now both self-employed. Miri with her life's work "A Guest on Earth" and dōTERRA, and Martin in the skilled trades, where he both renovates and builds new buildings.
Our life's work
Together, we shape our lives and look forward to what lies ahead. Here in Sweden, we have found our place as a family. In our blue house, we experience not only our private lives, but also the growth of our life's work. Miri's heartfelt vision, encompasses five elements: a second-row lakeside house (2023), a blog (2025), a podcast (2025), a café (2026/2027), and the Recreation Time Workshop (2026/2027). We look to the future with joy and gratitude and look forward to continued development - both as individuals, as a couple and as a family.

At the moment, we offer our guests fresh baked goods from our own kitchen—but one day we plan to open our own bakery and café on this site. Please join us in praying that God will open these doors at the right time.
